Completely agree. EA have missed out on new t publishing a Star Wars game on the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 or Witcher 3.

Between Ubisoft’s new game, the Indiana Jones game, Fallen Order and Battlefront 2, that’s a good start. I think the best thing about them now licensing out the games is that EA can now focus on their big games and allow for us to get good strong games elsewhere. I’m excited, this is how it should have been from the start if you ask me, but I’m here for it.

I want a Maul game from Arkane and Mandalorian civil war game from The Coalition. Those would be amazing.

Ive always wanted an open world Star Wars RPG, and a whike back i though Ubisoft could potentially make a very good game like that considering its sort of their forte. I know a lot of people really dislike Ubisoft games, but ive loved both Division games (not on release though), Ghost Recon, Far Cry rtx. and they make great open world environments. To me i think they could make something that I'd really enjoy, man I'd even love a Division type looter shooter star wars game.

"... a bounty hunter game in the style of Assassin's Creed..."

I'm sold. I'm in. I want this right now. But EA will never let this happen, because EA have no understanding of what gamers actually want. Source? Decades of trivial iteration in tired sports series that sell without question because cash cows always do.

A truly open world SW game, post ROTJ, with all the goodness and badness that brings with it would absolutely destroy sales records, it would shift consoles. It would be welcomed with open arms across multiple generations.

But, you know, that takes time, effort and someone standing up to stakeholders and saying "wait, keep waiting, wait some more, when this is ready, it will make your most grotesque capitalist dreams come true."
