She didn't handle that well. Educating is better than getting a laugh at someones expensive . One should wash their hands numerous and many times a day but also his idea merits a respectful discussion.

I did a food and health safety course and you should wash your hands after the toilet and before preparing food. I wash my hands whenever I have to touch something unsanitary. We took samples of bacteria from surfaces and the surface with the most bacteria was staircase handrails. I was also taught not to touch your face or hair when handling food and if you do to wash your hands straight away.
