He apologizes for ONLY one reason! there are witnesses passengers who stayed alive! And they are citizens of other countries and can tell the true! He was hoping that the plane would not cross the Caspian sea with all the damages it got and all the evidences and witnesses would deep down literally

Azerbaijan is known for its very safe airline and highly experienced professional pilots. This tragic incident is one example showing how the pilots managed to save so many lives while sacrificing their own lives.

You don't think Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan would have called for international help to find the wreckage if that did plane not make it to land and did happen to go down in the Caspian sea? Russia does not own that whole sea, they can't stop the other countries bordering that from responding to an emergency or reclaiming their wreckage can they?
