it is not the educational system, geography was taught in school.

i would say its not the education system. I went to public school and the teachers are awesome. They teach us geography but mostly I remember our asian country counterpart. They also teach us some basic knowledge of other country ., I would not blame the education system, its just only us that we dont want to learn those information because it does not need.
