2024년에 들어도 눈물이 날려하네요. 냉전종식되고 개최된 서울올림픽에서 평화강조하고 벽을 허물자고 노래하더니 2년뒤 베를린장벽이 실제 무너졌지요. 타이밍적으로 너무 완벽하고 공기가 많이섞인 노래자체가 풍기는 느낌이 세계를 하나로 묶는듯한 느낌도 나고요. 이 노래 덕분에 전세계인들 아리랑하면 한국이란걸 알게됬지요. 근데 아이러니하게도 서울올림픽 후 독일은 통일되고 30년이 훌쩍넘어도 아직도 세계에서 유일하게 한국만 분단되있는 현실이 슬프지요. 어떻게 희망이 있는거도 아니고 김씨세습에 목숨거는 북한상황 노답이고요ㅠ

평창올림픽 개막식에서 "Imagine" 보다는 "손에 손잡고"를 다시 쓰는게 더 어울렸다고 생각한다 존 레논의 "Imagine"은 절절한 진정성이 느껴지는 명곡이지만 화성 진행도 그렇고 투사의 운동가의 결의처럼 들려지는 노래라 올림픽같은 축제에는 어울리지 않음 "손에 손잡고"같은 장엄하면서도 밝은 환희의 찬가가 올림픽 개회식에 더 잘 어울림 Girgio moroder가 작곡한 노래들 중에서 서올 올림픽 주제곡 "손에 손잡고"나 90년 이탈리아 월드컵 주제곡 "Unestate Italiana" 그리고 반젤리스의 "Chariots of Fire" 퀸의 "We are the Champions" ABBA의 "Dancing Queen" "The Winner takes it all" 오아시스의 "Don't look Back in anger" Police의 "Every breath you take"같은 곡들이 개인적으로 축제 무대 환희의 찬가 클래식들

This is the last Olympics during the Cold War era. The last Olympics West Germany played, the last Olympics the Soviet Union played. The first Olympics ever where the world came together in Union without any blockage from several countries. This is perhaps the best Olympics ever, I was 7 years old during this great world event. What a beautiful memory.

I was 7 years old and this song, along with both the opening and closing ceremony of Seoul 1988 made me fall in love with Korean cultue, which gave birth to my interest in their movies and dramas as well and I'll be 43 soon, i feel goosbumps whenever I listen to this song. It's still the best Olympic Theme Song in history💜💜💜
