This is a super fun project that goes together easily and quickly.

My website:

You can get the pattern for the Devon Pouch by Sotak Co. here:

The "You look really pretty today!" tag can be found at the MoreMeKnow website. This link is for the label page where she has this and several others:

Unfortunately, the video I mentioned about the Butler method for installing videos was not on YouTube so I could not put it in the cards. I will, however, record a video for that and upload it soon.

Thanks for the video, it was helpful with good tips. I've made a dozen or so Redwoods and now I am totally hooked on the Sallie Tomato Myrna. Six made so far and 2 on the table, but thanks to your video I see a bunch of Devons in my future!!

I have this pattern, it drove me nuts that front panel, i made a couple of these one was for my swap on Sew Whatever group, terrible measurements, but I love the outcome when i finally got it done, I like how you did your top zipper, thanks for the video

Thanks for the tutorial. I made my first one and had some trouble because I misread my markings on my plate and sewed my lining at a 5/8” seam allowance instead of 3/8” 🤦🏻‍♀️. I thought it looked really big but I thought to myself “no she said 3/8, I’ll trust the process”, lol. At least I learned from my mistake and will do better next time.

I should make one of these. I think I have the pattern. They are all over IG. This and the redwood tote seems to be really popular.

You’re saying you pull your zipper at a 45 degree angle at the ends, but you’re actually making a 90 degree angle. Just for clarification in case someone is confused.

Loved the video. Can you share the tape you used.is it score tape? I seam to have a a hard time peeling mine apart and it does not stick to my fabric that well so I am in search of a good strong tape.. Thank you

Are you backstitching on the vinyl? I just started working with vinyl and hate it because everything I've seen says you have to tie off threads. But if I can backstitch it would make it so much more enjoyable! Also, do you have any tips on how to get the corners by the top zipper to pop out better? I've made two Devon's so far and both of them have "dents" at the corners because I can't get the seam to pop out enough.

I see you turn the zipper ends up, how much space between zipper and end of fabric, please?

Do you cut the zippers at exactly 8” and 6” like the pattern or do you cut them a little longer?
