From what I've seen 100% Cotton Crochet Yarn is perfect as well and can be bought at Walmart or craft stores. And as far as the collar goes ... they have things at the hardware store that will work. Will post what I used when I can get out and run to the hardware store! (7/32" Cotton Closeline and Woodworking T-Nuts can be used as well).

Do you sell these in packs
$28 for 1 little piece when you can get a whole oil lamp at Wal-Mart for $9 kinda pricey

The wicks with aluminum wick holders are available in a 10-pack. You would think a wick is a wick. Not so. Most don't burn very well.

Is it safe to drill 2 holes in the top of a Mason jar and run 2 wicks?

What size wick? No one ever yells you what size wick. Thnx. Good info.

I've tried these and get oil drawing up the wick, dispersing across the top of the jar lid itself. Is this a venting issue of some sort? The lamps work as expected but are messy to move or refill. Thanks for any help.

Regular Kerosene is perfectly safe to use. Kerosene was intended to be used for the exact purpose in this video. Even your own lamp oil is kerosene.

For the paraffin oil, would you use a fiberglass or cotton wick? Or maybe something else? Thank you. Great video.
