Update: We've received our refund about 1 month after posting of this video. (USA)

Following up on my last video about Fitbit Ionic Recall, by now you should probably have gotten the return kit. In this video, I show you what's inside the return kit, and what to pack inside the kit to return your device for a refund.

Remember, you won't get a refund if you did not return your device properly. For U.S. customers, call 888-240-2819 if you need help. You will get your refund within 3-6 weeks.

Make sure you take a photo of the label on box so you can track where your return package is.

I already sent mine in. And I got my Fitbit Sense as well. Although, I'm not too happy about that 3-6 weeks time period to get the refund.

Write down the tracking number on the return kit when you drop the box off. I am having a situation where Fitbit is not refunding and claiming that their system does not show that they sent me a return kit.

Been waiting 4+ months for refund...and all customer service can say is it has been processed and that they are "a little backed up on sending out the checks"....Time'll tell if it ever actually comes.

How do you remove the band? I never changed out my original one and lost the instructions a LONG time ago 🤦‍♀️Thanks!

I am from India.I have registered for recall on march 6th.watch still working but can't sync with mobile.In email they say"i have to dispose the device as per their instructions".and i will get the refund in 3-6weeks.can i purchase new fitbit watch with discount and still will i receive refund?

When you return your watch. Do you need to return boths wrist bands that were included? I purchased new bands and I'm not sure if I can find my old ones

What about factory resetting the watch or removing it from your Fitbit app on your phone or computer? Do you have to do that too, or do you just drop your watch in the packaging and mail it away?

i applied for refund but due to account error in paypal it send back to company. my technical issue is solved in paypal acc. now how can i get refund back.

Did you have to include a RMA form with your return? I didn't see one anywhere. Just making sure I didn't miss anything.

Im from the UK though so maybe its different. My watch still tells the time and i can change watch faces. Only thing is it doesn't count steps etc obviously.

I didn't need to send mine back. They just stopped syncing it and deregistered it. I get my refund soon

After all the recall process forms, there's no instruction how we send the ionic. Just an email to wait my refund 3 to 6 weeks and offered me a discount on my next purchase. BTW I'm from the Philippines.

Thanks for this! How long did it take for this to arrive? I completed the questionnaire and registered through the recall site on March 4 and still haven't received my return packaging yet.

It's fake. They did not refund me despite checking the box, serial nos etc. But just to turn me down because I no longer has the purchase receipt. They even locked my adidas ionic with the assumption that they will process the refund. Btw, it's more than 6 months already that i've been in conversation with Fitbit regarding their recalled ionic. Shady company, i will not touch another Fitbit product. That's for sure.

Contacted Fitbit time and time again about the Ionic recall. “Your account doesn’t have an impacted device associated with it.” Yet they emailed me about my Ionic and it shows on my Fitbit dashboard. As they are refusing to do anything about it despite the amount of times I have phoned them and “Chatted” with them I have given up trying to deal with them politely. From now on I will post this endlessly to let people know what a bunch of untrustworthy scumbags Fitbit are.
