The order of draw is wrong. The correct order of draw is: blood cultures, blue, red, gold, green, lavender, gray

On 4 they are saying not to apply a tourniquet if they have had a mastectomy that is not in the correct context. If the patient has has a unilateral mastectomy you can apply the tourniquet & draw the the opposite side

Question 6. NONE of them are correct. Heparins are drawn BEFORE EDTA.

Question 7. The CORRECT answer is UNTIL BLEEDING STOPS. This is an ARTERY, people. If it's still bleeding after 10 mins you're going to stop applying pressure? Come on!

Question 24, the CORRECT answer is, if hematoma is not developing, remove the tube from the holder to release the suction and allow the vein to refill and then try again. If that doesn't work, THEN discontinue the draw.

Regarding Q. What is the correct order of draw for venipuncture? The answer was (B) Light blue, red, lavender, green. However, it is my understanding that a green tube would be drawn before the lavender tube. Can someone please respond, and thank you!
