To shut down hold the power and volume up buttons and it will bring up the shut down screen.

is the proximity sensor married to the motherboard? I swapped two iPhone X screens today without swapping the proximity sensors, just a straight screen swap and afterwards the Face ID stopped working on both. swapping both screens back to the original phones made the Face ID work again.

Where did you get the replacement gasket? And what about that gasket makes it ip67 compliant? How is it different from the adhesive gaskets sold for older phones that weren’t ip67 from the manufacturer to begin with?

So if we replace anything with a generic do we lose anything like the previous generations if you replaced the homebutton you lost it

What happen with the home bottom, they Mmm Apple store told me it can be replaced, because it’s part of the screen.. so if I replaced it what’s next it would be useless

Sometimes removing those proximity sensors can be a pain in the ass. It's always good to keep/buy an original spare proximity sensor/f-cam/mic assembly in case the sensor ever gets damaged coming out. And btw, this wasn't exactly a tear down. More like a screen replacement tutorial.

I am sorry, but I am not going to send my phone to guy at the right. He pushed so hard that we heard a tick noise when he unscrewed the left bottom screw. iCracked blackisted for repairing.

You should NEVER be popping the battery flex cable with a damn flathead... jeeze there’s a lot off here. You can ground it out (I’ve seen this happen)... I’m not sure if it does actual damage or not, but I’ve seen that arc before
