Tesla Semi 2025 BIG UPGRADE! Elon Musk SHOCKS Mass Produce, NEW Battery & G2 Version. There will be a lot of Tesla Semis next time, and today's episode will have quite a few interesting updates. If you have ever thought that the Semi Truck was in "production hell" due to the lack of increase in numbers since its launch in 2017, well, that thought might be correct, but you will soon change your mind once the Semi factory is completed and production ramps up quickly. However, the new Semi Gen 2 is the highlight of this acceleration period, as it will blow everyone's mind with its revealed adjustments, a new design, and a new battery pack. Too mazing? Discover now!
Tesla Semi 2025 BIG UPGRADE! Elon Musk SHOCKS Mass Produce, NEW Battery & G2 Version. Before diving into the new plans for the Semi Gen 2, we clearly need to explain why Tesla hasn't produced many Semi Trucks since the first deliveries in 2022, which amounted to only about 20 units—possibly more, as neither Tesla nor PepsiCo disclosed detailed numbers, but currently PepsiCo has only around 36 units. In October 2023, we learned that Tesla had built about 70 Tesla Semi trucks, and the company is using them for internal purposes and with a primary customer, PepsiCo. According to verified sources, there are three main reasons why the Semi production has been so limited.

I'm a truck driver. Think about this: price tag is maybe going to be $350, 000 for a sleeper. The operator will spend $620, 000 over 8.19 years on fuel if diesel. If Tesla, just $155, 000 in electricity. So the real price is getting paid $ 115, 000 to own a Tesla. Like Elon said "I don't know why a trucking company wouldn't want to save some money. its about the fuel.

I currently drive a Peterbilt 379 and its a 1998 year model. I love my truck, but I would also love the opportunity to drive the tesla semi. I honestly think Elon and his team are on the right track. I live in south Georgia, and I run from Douglas Ga to Deerfield Beach, Florida, 5 days a week. Just from the information I have gathered from different videos, I believe this would be the perfect truck for my trip.

One of the largest reasons that Tesla Semi is not producing more units is there is no infrastructure to charge it. It would be like having an ice truck in a country with no place to fuel it. It would make it a worthless paperweight.

IMHO this is your best report so far. Cutting down on repeating is a real improvement.

It's time to buy a few Tesla shares, I guess.

It makes sense that Tesla has been cautious with Semi production so far. They’re smart to take their time perfecting the design before mass production.

Tesla is SMART in so many ways. The slow ramp up gives them a few years of operation with a limited number of trucks to get feedback from drivers, operating companies, company owners, regulators, highway departments, etc... work out the bugs BEFORE ramping up production. The MegaCharge network will be critical to sell trucks. Any news on that?

A small sleeper area would be much appreciated by the drivers.

I’m confident that once the Semi factory is up and running, production will skyrocket. The demand is there; Tesla just needs the capacity to meet it.

I think it’s amazing that Tesla is aiming to produce a quarter of all heavy-duty trucks sold in the U.S. This could be the turning point for the widespread adoption of electric trucks.

I think Tesla SEMI is another revolution waiting to happen. COmmercial transportation is not a sexy business as consumer side is. But it is so essential to our daily lives. I hope Tesla SEMI helps lower the cost of goods, increase safety on the road and helps environmentally. From Semi I hope there will be more mini semi and micro semi so it reaches out to all markets.

If they want to ship these trucks to Europe they have to make it way smaller, not bigger. As the source says: Semi trucks will be in Europe in the near future. In that case they should completely redesign and have two versions of these trucks. US and European one.
