A Look Back at the HP Pavillion Elite HPE-210f from 2010!

I got this old desktop from a friend and I was surprised at how capable this machine STILL is today! Featuring an AMD Phenom II 945 processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD-5450 (with a whopping 512MB of RAM) & 1TB spinning hard drive - this desktop was great in 2010.

How is it today? Well, with a good cleaning, an SSD and Windows 10 - this machine still runs great. Well.. not so much for gaming or modern benchmarks but for basic tasks it still flies (maybe even better than some machines on the lower price spectrum).

These can be found for around $80-$150 on eBay and maybe even cheaper on FB marketplace or from a thrift shop. If you need a capable older machine, this is a decent one.

I'm stilling using my HPE-150f Pavillion bought in Jan 2010. Solid computer. 14.5 years and still kicking. I replaced the GPU to GeForce GT 730 so I can view 4K videos on YouTube 😅.

I got mine in 2012 and I still use it to this day.
It has never broke but the HDD is starting to get really slow. I just plan on swapping it and keep on trucking, ridiculously long living PC in fact it is the longest living PC I have ever gotten by a MILE. 12 years... Usually most part break down in 5 years on my other pcs.

I had one of these for almost 8 years, granted I upgraded the gpu and psu (nothing too crazy, a GTX 660 in 2013), and that got more mileage out of the machine. I was adequately playing even a game like PUBG before I got a new machine at the end of 2017
