Children of the Heavenly Father
Safely in His bosom gather
Nestling bird nor star in heaven

God His own doth tend and nourish

I remember singing this song at the Lutheran elementary school I attend when I was 9 or 10. It was at the funeral of a child in the church who had passed away. I can’t image a parent losing a child, but praise God for the promise that their child was safe with his Heavenly Father.
