A guy in my hometown was caught because of people like this. He was known for being super friendly to kids and attempting to try and get with some of them alone (which he had been successful before) had it not been for one of these sting operations nobody in my town would have known what kind of monster he is. "People" who dont agree with these catchers are the same "people" who commit these kinds of acts. please reconsider your entire page

Doesn’t match your title. He went and got him sooner instead of prioritizing his costs or production schedule. It’s better for Alex to interview these guys and get them to fess up to more, since after police come, they may shut up and get a lawyer(but the video Alex provides can show intent, and admission to other crimes. The questions Alex asks aren’t just relevant to content, he asks questions that defeat arguments used for leniency in sentencing. E.g. he’ll get them to tell him when their interests started, how many kids they’ve talked to, times in past they were tempted or acted on it, when they first saw cp. obviously they aren’t always honest, but I’ve seen many admit to Alex first viewing cp multiple years prior and having an interest in kids many years ago. This is important for sentencing, as shows their character- rather than impulse, and is evidence of less likely to reform. Without that evidence, lawyers often will argue it was a mistake, off chance occurrence of stumbling into the wrong thing, or age miscommunication. Alex chooses questions based on what prosecutors can actually use). Also, just sending a tip into the police doesn’t mean they will get caught faster or at all, sometimes, the tips aren’t review for many months, if the department does even investigate on their own). You’re off base, it’s good Alex does it this way.
