Chauvet ShowXpress Demo

Demo of Chauvet ShowXpress 512 lighting software. This is not a tutorial--more of a short demo. i got the interface 2 days ago and am still learning some of the features. I would recommend watching John Caniford's tutorials on youtube for more detailed instructions--he really did a good job with his tutorials.
I'm using a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows 7. So far, i have not been able to get the interface to continually work on my MacBook Pro--I keep losing the PC Link. Any suggestions are welcomed!

I know this video is very old but doesn’t the pixel bar move up and down?

Always plug in the interface first, then open the software. Also check that USB connection and cable. Try another port.

How to prevent loss of communication with Apple products running Maverick OS and Chauvet Show press 512 Plus.
 
1. open Show Xpress Folder
2.  Right click on Control Board icon
3.  click on “Get Info”
4.  Check box “prevent App Nap”

Was looking at getting the adj my dmx 2.0. But I keep seeing horrible reviews for it, now I am looking at this chauvet 512 controller. With this controller, can I create scenes, save them as tabs like you did for weddings? the adj I get the feeling you cant save scenes. you thoughts are needed, thanks in advance.

hey man i know this is an old video but can you explain how to get those buttons for the gobos effect like the stars circle star etc and how to make them rotate or at least point me in the right direction thanks
