A lot of people didn’t know about the old way of using the blowtorch to anodise titanium as all we that seem to get shown is the electrical method which is used yes the electrical method is more accurate but if you’re just going for a nice pop of colour and don’t want that messing around then just grab that blowtorch!

You can use 9v batteries and you can get different shades by using more or less batteries works great!

Glad I jumped in and got one when you first showed it. I think I'll dremel thumb access to the lock bar to make it a little more comfortable to push the lock bar. I really appreciate the heads up on this one.

Do you think you would be able to get a deep purple color by using the blowtorch? I am very hesitant to blow torch any titanium because it is very difficult to find the sweet spot and have one uniform color.

I almost pulled the trigger on this a while ago. It just seemed like an impressive value/deal. I thought there must be something wrong with it. I believe they also had carbon fiber for around $25. Although I was definitely going to go with the titanium version. I just wish they didn't have the holes in the handle. I've never been a fan of that

That’s not anodizing. You just oxidized the surface of the titanium and made it more brittle. Anodizing is an electro chemical process which doesn’t compromise the metal like this does.
