Never a dull time in Tokyo. So much to see and never enough time. Another fine video Phoebe. Harriet and I have been many times. We did get to go to a sumo match. It was very entertaining. Indeed, Tokyo is one of our favorite cities in the world. All the best Phoebe ❤ from Harriet, Jim and Yuki (currently in Bethany Beach, Delaware ).

Phoebe: What a great chapter for your newest Japan series! Getting to hang out with locals who know where to go and where not to go, which can be even more important.

* Such happy music to match the smiles all over the video.
* "Tokyo is fun. Basically a big theme park for adults!" Thanks...makes our desire to go there all the stronger. 😂
* Pretty sure we'd spend A LOT more than you did at Don! (We would probably need a new suitcase!) Love the choco-mushrooms too.
* I saw in other comments that the sealed bag wasn't a big deal in Japan. I assure you, it was a very big deal leaving Australia and NZ. Don't open them or it'll cost you as a few of our fellow Americans discovered the hard way.
* Okay, with the takoyaki, it was hilarious leaving out whatever it was you said concerning it's "such a boy thing to order!" (We've watched it 2-5 times trying to figure out what you said! “It looks like a ...” *WHAT*?!?!?) 🤣
* Really like the use of maps. I, personally, am a map person. It helps me understand where I am and what we're doing and, given the shear size of Tokyo, it seems it would be almost essential. Try to keep those in, when appropriate, IMO.
* Great looking hotel--love your recommendations on hotels, as they have helped us during our travels.
* As always, great b-roll images as a tie-in into the dinner.
* I so love yakitori and that place looked great.
* Cool framing while eating dinner. Makes the viewer feel like the sixth member of the dinner table and that you were sharing the fabulous foods with us. Well done!
* So many smiles. So much laughter. What a great night you had with friends.
* I fear I'd be deported trying to do doing karaoke! I know it’s the point, but, i assure you, no one wants to hear me sing.🤣
* Always look forward to the GMYG!!
* Blue Punch Buggy!
* Good info on the subway and public transportation. It looks so overwhelming.
* Never heard of Monja. Now Erin is looking for recipes--can't wait to try it! (Better than okonomiyaki, eh? That’s high praise. )
* How wonderful to have additional friends, and ones made from prior visits. Always good to find local guides and even better when they become friends. We were lucky enough to encounter the same when we visited Wellington. (Now we just need to go back!)
* Always cool to learn something new...think we'll still call them "sumo" though.
* Love little museums like that...what a cool local place and great idea.
* Having experienced it for the first time in Brisbane, we love water taxis on a river. It's a great way to see a city.
* Erin said she'd try to do a matcha flight for all of them--"only way to know which was best!" 🤦‍♂
* And the hotel has a great restaurant! Again...cool way to cut through some b-roll and then a-roll (with you talking) and then b-roll setting up the restaurant and then dinner. Good editing.

Can't wait to see where next you go!

Rob&Erin

* From last week's comments and reply: Thanks for the kind words about us helping you in Jamaica, but, gotta confess, we were at an all-inclusive and our friends did all the work, so not sure we'd be any help. However, if ever you find your way to Florida and want to see Disney, Universal (or better places in Central Florida), or, better yet, the Florida Keys, then heck ya! We're your guides!
* From one sole proprietor to another, I know how scary it can be to seek assistance. We may not have kids, but our businesses are like our kids and it can be hard to trust someone with it. But how wonderful it is when you find the right person. And it looks and sounds like you did! Makes things so much easier and I can't help but think that's why you look so much happier (well, that and Japan is a great place!). You have my admiration.
* Notes from me to "Mr. E" (i.e.: "Mr. Editor"): here's the highest compliment I can pay--I though Phoebe had taken over the reigns again and was doing all her own editing. You've seriously caught on to the vibe of TFP. I'm sure it's been a lot of work between the two of you, and it really shows. I can also get hints of your suggestions (I'm guessing the maps?) which makes things even better. So glad you're on board and allow me, as one of the "Phoebians" to welcome you! (that's what I like to call the subscribers--or maybe "Fibians" would be better?--I don't know, let Phoebe decide 😁)
Thanks for making TFP even better and making Phoebe's life easier.

Hello again from the other side of Japan. Shibuya was my favourite spot of Tokyo. People dressed as Pokémon’s and people in Mario Karts on the street. Loved it. The self-cooking teppanyaki is delicious 🤤. I totally missed out on the waterbus, we’ve done metro and train only. The Japanese gelato has such a surprise taste, especially the matcha. Arigato for sharing and see you on the other side of the globe 🌎.

Hi Phoebe. It's great to see you have some fun with the locals. Japan looks so cool. I have to tell you about amazing 92 year old lady I met this last week. She left Northern Ireland in her late teens, alone to move to Manhattan to work as a nanny. Every chance she got she travelled around the USA (alone again) to see the sights. Huge journeys like The Grand Canyon, Miami and California. I waa blown away by her. Way back then it seems like such a huge thing to do.
