Remembering Shinzo Abe, Japan's longest-serving prime minister

The former Japanese prime minister has died after being shot while making a speech in the western city of Nara. He is remembered for his 'Abenomics' policy to lift the world’s third-biggest economy out of deflation and for supporting a more prominent role for Japan’s military to counter growing threats from North Korea and a more assertive China. Abe announced his surprise resignation in 2020 citing health reasons.

My mom told me that she already saw PM Abe personally when she had a vacation in Japan many years ago. R.I.P. Mr. PM.

RIP one of the most humble, prominent and visionary leader of the world. The PM during who's tenure Japan began shedding its post-WW II pacifist restrictions and spent money on modernising Japan’s defence forces. Om Shanti 💐

He looks like such a sweet, caring, enthusiastic happy guy, and I’m sure Japan loved him. Such a devastating day for Japan and his family. Violence these days is getting so out of control.

It’s insane to think in 2 days we’ve lost 2 Prime Ministers. The first one was just only leaving the office, but the second one leaves the world.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Abe
The world will never be the same without you
Condolences from Indonesia 🇮🇩

I can't believe this…

He had shown what a country's leadership has to do: empathy, honesty, courage, caring, yet strong commitment-minded politician. His longest PM years are the proof of that. And he never tried to incite any violent coup or attack to the government. He had supported Japan's economy for so long, always mindful of "the country first, the people first"... He never acted like a dictatorship.

I'm filled with deep sorrow...
Abe Shinzo is the hero in Japanese and he change many things to improve Japan.
But changing something make haters. They are short members but act like this....I can't accept it and forgive it.
