5 Aces | Lifesteal SMP S3 Branzy Animatic

hello, i have finished this at last ! i thumbnailed the animatic on June 24th, and streamed the frame drafting in the following month. spent 106 hours give or take drawing it all (i kept a timesheet for once, since people tend to ask me about these) and some amount of time editing. sorry !

anyway. you know how it is with the lifesteal season 3 branzy. have had so many thoughts about that character in these last SIX MONTHS ? wtf. so im glad to be able to finally put this project out. oh also clownpierce is there i guess. i feel a bit of remorse that i didnt get more frames of other lifesteal people i like in here, but well. it is a branzy video so, its expected.

well. i like betrayal plots and the tenuous nature of a traitors only ally being even more unpredictable. thats what this is about. cheating at cards.

I don't know much about Lifesteal aside from what I hear in passing from friends, but WOW this is INSANELY captivating! This artstyle is very reminiscent of both drawings you'd see in a sketchbook (especially with the way you shade, which is gorgeous), but also has the same vibes as those older black and white graphic novels with how defined the shapes and movements are. Those designs are also so creative paired with the ways they emote! And you shine again with the little details in how you structure your animatics, like how when the music is muffled, something just seems more uncertain, like thoughts being clouded with fog. This is just ridiculously amazing and it must've been a wild amount of work! Outstanding!!!

I'm here super late but OMG THIS ARTSTYLE AND THE SONG CHOICE ARE PEAK!!! I love everything from the character design choices to the facial expressions to the sounds choices and Clown's lines. It's all so perfect I've watched this several times and I'll keep watching it.

I don't go here and all I know of lifesteal is from what I see on my tumblr dash every once in a while, but this animatic is absolutely gorgeous. Also, kudos to the audio editing as well!
