Been wanting to try a slingbox for years. I've recently started to pimp out my apartment and my dad's kinda made it his man cave to hide away from my mom haha. We just picked up a 50 inch tv and this slingbox to hook up to his cable box at his house in one of his spare rooms (I don't have cable tv at my apartment).
Everything should be here this tuesday...lol so excited!
Anyhow. fantastic video man! You really did a great job with this. I'm surprised it doesn't have more views!

Great Review!  Can you control the stream type (HD or SD) via the web interface also or is it only "auto-select"?  I see you can select HD or SD on the tablet/phone app.  Thanks.

i want to purchase this for someone who doesn't have an internet connection or cable. Can I fit this with an external hard drive and use this for a standalone digital tv?

This streams your CABLE TV BOX.

Did I hear you correctly? If some one is watching the tv I cant stream a different channel because ill change what they are watching and visa versa ?.. O.o

The Slingbox is a great idea that sadly has been left behind by tablet/smartphone access to cable/sky channels via apps such as SkyGo.

People saying this is the same as a Chromecast. Shows how much they know. They are NOTHING alike.

Did you really mean, iPhone 4s? Or 5s?
If you said 4s, then get the Galaxy s4.
If you meant to say i5s, then get that instead.
