As being an artist is my career (I'll be exhibiting in KIAF next year fyi), I stopped painting for the last 2 months now cos seeing AI art drown out real artists is making me feel a bit sad...also I'm getting fed up where AI are stealing real artists full art pieces editing it a teensy bit and then tada. AI is a huge problem for artists, and we cannot ignore that fact.

Actual art has meaning. It tells a story, it shows the artists journey to get to where they are today. That is something AI art will never do. Keep creating guys, it doesn't matter how pretty the picture is, AI art doesn't tell a story.

As a young artist myself, I've ran my art through an ai before, and I never truly realized how much life is actually sucked out of art by being changed through ai.
I will stand by my opinion that these people who do "make" ai "art" are too lazy to bother learning the material. Since I was 3 or 4 I've been drawing and learning, getting inspired by fellow artist to draw like them the silly pictures of fandoms I was in. It took me well over 10 years to get to where I am today and I still am not a perfect artist by any means, I still struggle with things like perspective or poses or backgrounds but I still am better than when I was 10. Art takes a long time to learn, it's like any other skill or hobby, it takes lots of practice and time to get right and these people cannot be bothered to do that so they just turn to their machinery to do the work for them, despite it being more meaningful if they did it themselves. I hope this trend dies and these people realize ai art will never truly replace human art. It is and always will lack emotion, thought and soul behind it, no matter how "human" you make it seem, it will always be made by a flawless robot, not a flawed person that adds their own passion to a piece.

The deferens between an artist and an AI is that an artist can understand the clients ideas while an AI just guesses the clients words

I think AI art is super duper cool and my boyfriend and I have a lot of fun playing around with the generators, but I'm still an artist, and I still prefer traditional art. I love buying people's art and I love drawing and painting. Imo ai art will never replace artists

I think the complaint is not that they will leave artists without a job but rather that their job is literally being stolen by AI without their consent, which is not good and you can see it happening

Reasons why AI probably won’t replace:
-the fact that the power of your creativity can’t be replaced by AI
-you need art to make the AI work and if there’s no new art then the AI gets boring fast

I was in fact one of those people saying artists will get replaced but I am a young artist hoping to turn my art into a career. I was really hopeless and kept reminding myself that I'm worthless now that AI has improved significantly and that I dont have any other talent as passionate as art. I really needed this video today and I'm so happy youtube recommended it to me :)

Weirdly, most of the people who are telling me that AI will replace artists are themselves artist. We should belive in ourselves more.
