I have tried successfully on many occasions to airdrop from one iPhone to another, but when I tried to send something from my phone to my MAC, couldn't get it to work. It shows me on the computer, but nothing happens. Could you show all the steps for iPhone to MAC, including all settings? Not sure what else could be causing this. Thanks.

I have an older stereo receiver and would like to play songs from my Apple Playlist through to it. Can I hook up an Apple Airport Extreme or Airport Express router to my stereo and use AirDrop to play my playlist through to the stereo?

This really doesn't explain how Airdrop works. It's a video equivalence of "it just works". Not once did I here ad hoc networking or mobile ad hoc networking.
