As a native born Texan, and a lover of history, I very much enjoyed this video. I hope to visit some of these hidden treasures

I live near Terlingua and it has found new life and residents. Squatters began moving into old structures years ago and now there are restored structures, the old theater has been restored into a lively music venue and there are rentals for visitors to stay the weekend and a center of shops for social gatherings.

Thank you! I don’t think there are more fascinating ghost towns than the many we have here in Texas!

My greatgrandfather George Harold worked in a store in Shafter. I was often told stories of Pancho Villa coming to Shafter to buy supplies at the store.

You should visit Old Zapata Texas (Zapata Viejo). This town was flooded by the waters of Falcon Lake in 1954. The town first surfaced again during the droughts of the mid 1990s.

Wonder if the Argosy travel trailer at 5:57 is occupied?

Today's adventure was a great one, even the "Honorable Mentions"... I love this type of presentation, history, visuals and all. Thank you as once again I have had the chance to visit places without the travel involved and home in on a place I just have to visit in person..

Great video. My family is from Presidio and Terlingua was a frequent exploration. A suggestion. The music in this video overpowered your narrative. Great music. I would recommend it as a background versus dominating the video.

Old Town, Bluffton. Is only a secret to people not from central Texas. Lake Buchanan and the history is widely known. And, when the Army Corp of Engineers made the plan for the dam. The area to be flooded was known. It wasn't a surprise the townspeople had to relocate.. I grew up on this lake, this is my home area. 2009 was historic record lows for the lake since the dam was built. Had several dumb friends get stuck in the sands trying to explore the area..Really like your videos.. I'm finding lots of places to go explore, thanks.

Did some work in Shafter, the mine is still there, was active in the 2010s for a little while, with some of us geologists from Sul Ross working there

First time here, thanks to TicToc

This is a great video, thank you for sharing, thanks to you I learned something new about my state.

We bought a small little ghost town on Old Route 66 in 2020, The Old Township of Jericho. All that remains of the town are an old tourist court and farm house, rubble of the old school and many foundations throughout our property.

I look forward to watching more of your videos 😊😊
