Hello and welcome back to another great video! Today I am talking about the most stupid and pointless technology that was ever invented! Of course, I am talking about the Smartwatch this video will be me talking about why I Hate SmartWatches 2021 and why the Smartwatch is so Stupid!
Nothing says I am a portentous vegan hipster like the smartwatch does and we all know that technology trends come and go but this one is not cool and never has been yet you still see some people wear them! Fair enough if you use it just for sports or exercise but the people who use a smart watch for everything need to stop! The smart watch is such a stupid idea and only people who like wasting money and thinking hipster gadgets will get one! The smartwatch is the most pointless tech ever made!

I love watches and I love technology so you'd think I'd be a prime candidate for a smartwatch. Yet, I think they are absolutely stupid. I've yet to see a piece of technology that has spent some much money and effort trying to validate itself. All other technology in the world has a purpose for it's conception except the smartwatch. We as consumers had to create an excuse for buying one. Gym enthusiast were getting healthy and reaching fitness goals before they could strap a gadget on their wrist that told them their heart rate and steps. Furthermore, before smartwatches I don't think health enthusiasts really cared about that information. As much as I enjoy technology, how much more do we need to be distracted from the real world? Text messages and social media updates should be secondary in your life. I don't know what should be top priority because it's your life not mine but regardless, social updates and text messages, emails, etc shouldn't be at the top of the list. The entire idea of such a device strapped to me doesn't make any sense and I don't think they do to anyone else because people have always tried to validate their ownership.

I will also say that the real bummer with smartwatches is not only they need charging up but they lose their value after a few years when another model is out. Real classic watches seem to hold their value over time and some get even more valuable over time. I have a silver Tag Heuer one and it goes very well. With that it’s valuable. If you try and sell off an old smartwatch even if it works fine you will get little to nothing for it

Have owned 2 smartwatches. I have gone back to my analog Casio. They are a novelty to me it seems. Fascinated for a month both times. Then I use it to tell time & that's it.

I don't want my phone to make calls like it was designed to... I want to watch random YouTube videos on it like this one. There are tons of devices do more than what was initially intended to.

I've actually seen a lot of middle aged and older adults carry them as well. I predict that overtime they'll go the way of e-readers which at one time were all rage and set to destroy print books. Nowadays I rarely see them anymore and print books are still alive and well.

Smartwatch have actually saved lives because of the heart readings. Specifically apple watches. Besides that I don't see a reason for it. Cause the phone does the same thing.
