The Beaver Power Animal

Beavers live in freshwater ecosystems such as rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds. They are herbivores feeding on leaves, roots, ferns, and grasses with their favorite being tree bark. The beaver's back feet are webbed for swimming and their front feet allows them to dig and skillfully grab objects. They adapt well in the aquatic environment and can stay underwater for up to 15 minutes. Beavers create dams and build lodges with underwater access to protect their family. They’re good at planning and working with others to build elaborate structures. The beaver is cooperative, determined, and focused.

The resourceful beaver is an excellent problem solver and will do whatever it takes to get the job done. They are diligent, hard workers that like to stay busy. Beavers have good organizational skills and usually have several projects going on at the same time. Yet beavers know when it’s time to work and when it’s time to relax. They mate for life and are very loyal to their family.
