Rat Snake Removal with Snake Tongs

It is always handy to have a good pair of long “snake tongs” for the day when you find a medium size rat snake in your flower bed.

I bought these snake tongs from Amazon in April 2020, after we found a small snake upstairs between all our bedrooms in our Oklahoma City house. No idea how it got there, but apparently it climbed a wall from outside and found an opening to crawl through.

This rat snake today was probably doing great duty as a rodent catcher in our neighborhood. Still, I would prefer him to not be quite so close to our house.

You can always let your nextdoor neighbor borrow your snake tongs to remove the snake you threw in his backyard! 😂

This would have to be the most irresponsible catch of a snake I've seen.

1. It's a rat snake and not even venomous, so tailing it isn't an issue.

2. You aren't licenced to relocate and move them.

3. You just removed your problem, and gave that problem to someone else.
