Karachay-Balkar people speak Turkish. Its real roots are Turkish Tatar. But there are also Circassian (Adige) tribes who survived the Circassian genocide and exile on May 21, 1864. There are even pieces from the Georgian Mingrelian Swan people.
Their culture was created entirely by copying the Adyghe (Circassian) culture. just like the Ossetian culture.
