Camels have adapted to eat cactus in several ways, including:

Thick lips
Camels have thick, rubbery lips that protect their mouths from cactus spikes(just like he said)

Tough palate
Camels have a hard palate at the top of their mouths that allows them to chew and digest cactus without getting hurt.

Strong teeth
Camels have powerful molars that grind down tough plants

Papillae

Camels eat cactus because theres little food in the desert and like he said, the cactus has water inside which helps with their dehydration.

They are also able to endure protein deficiency and eat other items that other animals avoid, such as thorns, dry leaves, and saltbush.
