I've been doing this for years. After the pins are off it is better to use HCL (hydrochloric acid) first to remove the solder. Thats the grey stuff you see in the foils. Wash them thoroughly to get all the HCL out. Then use the nitric acid to remove the base metal from the pins. you will have very clean foils that you can then dissolve with AR or HCL and bleach.

How to recover/ extract gold from computer parts ?
Computer parts like processors (CPUs), RAMs, motherboards, hard drives, CD/DVD drives have gold and other precious metals like silver palladium etc. Base metals like copper, brass (an alloy), tin, aluminium, lead etc. are also present there.
SMPS (power supply), keyboard, cpu-fan doesn’t have gold but there is some silver in keyboards.
CPUs have gold and plating on its pins and gold wires inside them.
RAMs have gold plating on its fingers and gold wires inside the chips (QFP & PLCC) which are mounted on RAMs. There is palladium also in ceremic capacitors mounted on RAMs. There is some silver also in QFP and PLCC chips on RAMs.

Also, I saw/heard someone else say leave it for 7 days, looking at what you poured in the fabric, there was a lot of extra debris that didn't get dissolved 5:25

Interesting process if you have countless hours to spend on it. Youd be better to set up as a gold buyer and work on a
strict 10% cash purchase margin and take the gold in and get spot cash back for it. No dirty hands, little chunks of profit, . job done !

nice video, you might want to correct that you said you add 4000 ml of water 4000ml of water is 4 liters you mean 400ml or 0.4 liters and the same with the nitric you said add 1000ml (1 liter) of nitric when it should be 100ml (0.1 liters)
the beaker you're pouring liquids into is only 1000ml (1 liter) I know it's just a translation error :) great video though

Hello,
I have dissolved gold from some pinless cpu using aqua regia (3HCL+1Nitric) three times and every time the solution became green.
While i added urea to neutralise nitric, it became brighter green.
Then i poured sodium metabisulfite slowly and mixed it but sodium metabisulfite was vanishing, the beaker was getting cool.
I got no gold dust left.
