Hi ya Cleggy, have you ever tried incralac? It's what they use on boats to stop salt water from ruining the brass fittings etc, it also stops bronze disease, I have use it on my palstave axe head. First with a toothpick got most of the bronze disease off then put incralac on and it worked a treat. Can be expensive to buy. Regards Paul.
