Stellaris 4.0 is going to DRASTICALLY CHANGE how you use Precursors

Precursors, they've been with us since the very beginning. Stellaris 4.0 Phoenix is going to drastically change how you interact with them from the very start of the game. Mechanically they'll be the same, but the setup. Oh boy, how different its going to be. There's also some changes to genetic engineering, ship design, and a compendium is coming. Oh boy

Looks like I am going have to learn how to play Stellaris the 4th time now.

I would like for them to add a new crisis that is ALSO a precursor so you get some cool rewards that you'll have to fight for but also a foreshadowing of the endgame danger and a diplomatic option to try and convince other empires of the impending doom.
Retroactivley applying this to the Cybrex would be pretty cool too, so you can find the ruins of the cybrex most of the time, a small percentage a friendly cybrex haven and another small percentage a hostile outpost of the coming crisis. Or this idea on the cheap, they could integrate the Cybrex to the Contingency crisis.

I'm both excited and scared about the pop rework. Only time will tell how good or bad it is

I would really like something like a template for planets, habitats and starbases.

I have played a few games and I still do not understand a good portion of the government and intergalactic community stuff. I hope the databank will help

I haven't really enjoyed Stellaris since 2.1. But from what I'm hearing, there may be room for hope. We will have to see how good 4.0 is.

The biggest thing I wanted was not pre-cursor selection... it was a checkmark box selector for crisis. If I leave my game on random, I almost always get the damn extra-planar guys. I never get the bio ship invasion and rarely the AI rebellion. It happens so damn often that if I know I have it on random, I can plan ahead to be ready for the energy beings to mess them up when they show up and the live maybe, 10 years at most.

A cool espionage/ship building combo would be designing a new ship for a particular enemy who has declared war on you or you fear is about to, or you are planning a war against them. If you have proper intelligence you can effectively design systems to fight that power.

But can you role play the New Gorn from Star Trek New Worlds in 4.0 ?

Good, now I can finally avoid the First League.

I really hate seeing all the useless bonuses and detrimental minuses the AI puts on its pop (after I get them). It's so bad that you can only get rid of it with biological ascension.

I wish Stellaris Nexus 5X had the empire customization and map options of main game Stellaris

Hopefully thy'll rework the precursors so we can actually have the grunur's sde of the story

I wish the bad precursors got a (massive) buff to make them competitive with the best ones.

I guess I'll never see the Irassians ever again.

I like the idea of a credit instead of a unit of energy. It's gonna open up some wolf of wall Street shenanigans, especially in MP games😂Those alloy markets are gonna belong to the business savvy ones.
