It does make sense. Because I’m paying for your expertise and your time.
Great video as usual!

Thanks for the videos. The company that did our walks also does drainage, yard work, and lighting. My guess is they are not necessarily a lighting company. I am just replacing existing lighting that is 20+ years old and know what Kelvin I want and what lights I want. The downside is the better lighting is not available to the DYI. In my guess there is no design just replacing existing lighting and running new wire to replace the mess that is there. Based on your recommendation it looks like the Volt lights are the best I can get as a DYIr. Are the Dauer lights any good that is what we are being quoted on now.

I want you ask a question what voltage lights do you use for home walls. I guess that depends how the tall the home walls are. For example I use 8W LED's and somehow I think that the light is to strong (by the way my walls are ~10f). I want to see how the light beam fade away and not hit the tom gutters.

In general, is there an industry standard range of pricing per fixture installed?
Like in northern more soft, moist soil atmospheres vs. southern, where it might be more hard, dry rocky soil?
Your videos have proven invaluable, hope you can keep updating them!

How much do you charge for design help?

There is some magic to doing things yourself but don't expect the same result as a reputable proffesional company. That, costs more money. Also, on an 1 million plus dollar home like some of those in the video, 5K to make them look what they are worth at night, is just an investment.
Great vid man, thanks!

What's your opinion on companies' lights with "integrated hub" wiring? I have a background in commercial irrigation systems and hate with a passion troubleshooting wiring connections that get buried underground so when I saw Volt Lighting has a product line with wiring at the base of the fixture I was intrigued. I realize that they wont work in all scenarios, but I wanted to get your opinion if you've used them before.

Thanks for the great videos,

Agree with this. Good video.

I would have left "part 3" out, though. Literally every business operates to generate profit, and taxes are a part of life. Landscape lighting is not unique.

When you have to make a video to justify how much it will cost a customer it means you are charging them too much.
