I'm going to object to the statement that we use HeLa cells in every experiment and that they are the standard in scientific research. They WERE the standard and MASSIVE breakthroughs were done using her cells. But in the past 15 years they are being used less and less in favor of more disease appropriate models (I've only used them once in 2009 for an early proof of concept experiment). The shame/crime was that she was not told that her cells will be kept, studied and sold; and her identity was not protected. Fortunately right now consent rules are quite strict and you can't just steal someone's cells for an experiment. You also have to protect the person's identity. Research is still dependent on patients donating their tissues for any breakthroughs and hopefully we can improve communication between patients, doctors and researchers. The current distrust in science is hurting us all, including the environment

I think that spinner is a "remote boat" we had one to hold the DVD player remote, the TiVo remote, the television itself remote, the sound bar remote lol so many remotes!
