This was my first pedal. I think I had only been playing guitar 🎸 a year at that point, though I’ve been a musician all my life on sax. I use it almost every day.

The important points for me creatively are that it’s a technology I can grow with, and it can loop absolutely any input, including drum tracks and vocals.

A one button looper is still held back by the double tap to stop. Why not double tap at any time and it will stop at the end of the loop?!

I’ve only been playing guitar for sixteen months, though I’m originally a sax player and been a musician all my life. Finally got my Ditto+, only my second pedal. Love it, but have a few criticisms.

Looping and pedal beginners like me need more than a quick start guide. The documentation doesn’t even mention extended looping, 60 minutes recording time (though that’s mentioned on the box), 99 memory slots or how to use any of that. Also Pong, no mention anywhere.

And people need to know that a 9 volt power supply is not included, without which the pedal can’t work; it does not take batteries, and no kind of power chord is included. I found this particularly surprising and frustrating because I wanted to use it right away but had to make a trip to a guitar shop the next day before I could use it the day after that. I also think for the price, the power supply should be included.

A basic tutorial would also be great. My first loop I chose ‘Real Friends’ by Camilla Cabelo which is a basic chord progression I can sing to, play the riff over, and practice soloing in minor pentatonic. Absolutely glorious fun for a looper beginner, and of course most people who want to try looping these days are going to be singer / songwriter or busker types.

I learned how to use a looper with this Ditto+ I've had a TCE Alter Ego 4 pedal for a few years and I've never successfully (intentionally at least) recorded loops with it. I seem to screw it up everytime or it acts super weird. I've read the instructions for it, but gee, I'm just not that skilled. The Ditto+ on the other hand, worked out perfect the first few times I tried it. I'll use this instead and move the AlterEgo 4 to the stereo pedalboard where it can be a delay pedal along side my Kord SDD-3000 pedal. Both have unique sounds. Korg smokes the AlterEgo for quick changes due to its many knobs and switches. all in all SUPER SATISFIED with the Ditto+

PS: I was ready to sell the AlterEgo4 considering it a failed purchase due to the 'looper' but now it gains a second chance.

I would love to have a Ditto X2+ with MIDI control to start, stop and navigate the library (or even call up a particular loop) while also receiving a midi clock signal to keep the loop in time with your band or your time based effects (even if you hit the button to stop early). These are just my thoughts. I would replace my current X2 in a heartbeat for something like that. In any case, I'm excited to see how the ditto line improves over the next few years; this was certainly a step forward.

Is there going to be a full, detailed owners manual posted at some point? Your website only has the quick start guide despite it saying to go to the website for the full owners manual. What's going on there?

cool little gadget at home...However, I wonder why pedal builder can't come up with a looper that has built-in reverb one cab sim and a headphone jack since it's usually last in the chain. I'd buy it in heartbeat ! I'd call it "ditto X4 deluxe ". How about that ?

Looks nice and love the size - but the one button looper just doesn't work for me - and it all comes down to the "double-tap" to Stop. Maybe it's just me, but I can't get used to double-clicking the footswitch to stop the playback - it's just gets weird when I'm playing along at a predetermined tempo and then having to rapidly double click (at a faster tempo) to stop the playback. For this reason, I don't buy any looper that doesn't have a dedicated "stop" footswitch. But hey, that's just me.

bought the pedal at Sweetwater and the first time I used it, right after I had to insert a WAV file. on the pedal, it stopped working and started to appear on the "Boot Mode" screen and after trying to do a software update, the error message appears...
I can't use Ditto+.
What should I do to reset the pedal?

I think this finally answers why previous loopers did not go with me: this one has a much bigger hard drive where you can save your recorded loops much better, and most importantly, this one has a screen where you can view what you have recorded. This always got me confused with what we can easily call 'odl fashioned' loopers: you had to skip through your stored loops, not being sure whether you activated or skipped loops. I think this looper can offer me the exact possibilities I searched for.
