Should Christian women wear a bikini?

Why Deliverance is for believers, not unbelievers:

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them;they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 

(Mark 16:17-18)

Matthew 10:7-8 
And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand. ' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Deliverance was a huge part of Jesus' ministry on Earth and through scripture we know that He has passed down the authority to cast out demons and responsibility to cast them out. We are commanded to, as you can see in the scriptrues above. 

Now, if we are to cast demons out of people, the next question is: "which people? Believers or unbelievers?"

Well... why would an unbeliever want to get a demon cast out of them. Here's why deliverance is NOT for unbelievers, but for believers:

1) Unbelievers don't want deliverance, as they want to continue bound to sin as slaves. BELIEVERS want deliverance. 

2) Unbelievers do not believers in deliverance

3) Jesus calls deliverance "The children's bread", He is referring to the children of God. At this time, it was only the converted Jews who were the first Christians. Read this story from Matthew 15:21-28:

1Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

*Many claim the Holy Spirit would not dwell in unclean vessels, justifying their arguments against deliverance. However, if He only dwelled in clean vessels none of us would have Him indwelling within us, as none of us are clean vessels. Many of us STILL struggle with pornography etc. EVEN THOUGH we have accepted the Lord and become born again. The question is, why? Because through sin, we have legally opened the door for a demon to OPPRESS us. Christians CANNOT be possessed by demons, but can be oppressed. Hence, the need for deliverance.

I'm so tired of fighting these exact demons they have literally tried to ruin my life since I was 14 years old. I just want to go home to Jesus. I've been laying these troubles down at the Lord's feet for a long time but I still take back that control through worry and fear and heartbreak. Ive been cleaning out my closet and been doing good working on feeling comfortable with loose clothes and I don’t feel as much insecurity 😇 HOWEVER I was exposed to pornography at a young age and not sure what else has happened as I have the worst memory and cannot for the life of me remember much when I was a child and I’m only 28! So I do struggle in that area please pray for me as I am fasting and wanting to get rid of that lust and no longer fall for it. I even have sexual dreams and I’ve heard of a spirit spouse. But praying I can keep up with this fast and stay in prayer since I keep failing 😢❤️‍🩹

Hey sister I felt really spoken to about the topic of born again believers being possessed by demons, deliverance, etc through Romans 7:15-25. I don’t think we give enough credit to just how evil and at odds our own flesh really is in its war against the Spirit within us. We as children of God can desire so deeply not to sin yet have an incredible current and power to sin and do what we don’t want to do. When this happens we cannot assume that that means we have a demon inside of us. I feel Paul is talking about this very thing here in Romans 7 and he doesn’t mention at all that the problem is a demon inside the child of God. What Paul does say is that within him in his members is another law, the law of sin warring. This really drives how just how sinful we are in the flesh apart from God and the only way we are tempted by the demonic is when we are drawn away by our OWN desires and enticed (James 1:14-15) this helps us understand that the remedy for the born again believer is to submit to the Lord resist the devil and he will flee. We are to CRUCIFY *our flesh* with its passions and desires. Paul in Romans 7:15-25 does not say this kind of situation with the believer needing DELIVERANCE (deliverance mentioned in Romans 7:24-25) is deliverance from a demon inside but on the contrary it is deliverance from this BODY of death the context being *the flesh* . We know that the enemy preys on the weakness that is within our own selves and the things our own flesh wanted and if we feed that or agree with the deceptions of the enemy we can develop strongholds and enter into bondage with oppression and spiritual warfare. Instead we can crucify our flesh by looking to Jesus and as we die to ourselves the power of the overwhelming sin will be broken. Deliverance from Jesus Christ will set us free but I think it is an error that demonic *possession* is what’s going on with the person who is already born again

“For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Absolutely agree. The Holy Spirit is not telling you to weak a bikini.
And yes, you can wear whatever you want, but it shows what's in your heart, and who is putting thoughts and feelings in you..

I have always felt this way towards this, and especially lately I just couldn't understand how Christians thought that was okay.
I refused to go to a pool retreat with friends of my boyfriend. I told him the reasons. He thought I was exaggerating.
2 weeks later we broke up because of other reasons.

The logic in my head was that it's not normal to be almost completely naked in front of other people.

I said I would wear a bikini if it was just me and my husband alone, or if it was just me and girlfriends tanning or doing spa.

Anything else, I find inappropriate.
And it's not about religion. It's what feels right or wrong in my mind.
