When he went to NYC in 2008 I was 10 years old at the time. I wanted to see the Pope along with my mom, but I was too short to see him until a stranger helped to pick me up and stand above a plant. He saw us as we waved at him and he waved at us back. It was an amazing experience. It feels surreal to see him gone, but he lived a long life as a Pope. What a way to end the year! My condolences to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. He's in God's hands now. 🙏

Jesus on the other hand was named 335 times. Mary was clearly unimportant to the early apostles. She has no role in salvation. She was an honorable young woman from Nazareth. She obeyed God.

Listen, I'm christian. but Catholicism is really something else. I really don't want to be that person.. it just really is concerning how it seems like the pope is treated like a god, as opposed to god himself. Mary as well. The man is 100% human, The bible strictly tells us not to worship anything or anyone else but JESUS himself. I can safely say that counts as posing as a god as well. Also, praying/confessing with god directly will always make more sense to me.
