I love how all the shots were Tim and the person singing in the rooms at different times as if they were still somewhat close, and then it was just the guy singing in those places 😭

Omg I love everything about this-


the sequence 0:00 to 0:08 where it goes between the two of them so he's looking and smiling while tim stares off into the distance, establishing like the entire premise before we even hit the 10 second mark

the feeling of tim and the audience almost being dragged into and around the narrator's imagination

tim's complete indifference towards the narrator's presence to highlight that 1) although this is the narrator's fantasy, they don't really have high expectations for anything with tim and 2) that the narrator really just wants to be around tim be WITH him and stuff

tim and narrator being close in every scene where it flashes between them and then the physical distance we get with the table when they're eating together

and then the final sequence once tim gets up where it goes back to every shot but now tim isn’t there so the audience can feel the same shock and emptiness as the narrator realizing tim isn't there for them

This is a great re-creation of the original song. Making the actions described in the lyrics appear in the video was a nice touch to me.

I think I might love my best friend. He’s so pretty- and kind. He’s so insecure about his hair- but it always looks better than everyone’s in the classroom. He speaks his mind helps out everyone he can. I’m absolutely whipped for him- I tie his shoes, I carry his stuff, I pack up for him- I make him bracelets…hell I even did something that could’ve ruined my reputation completely- something I’d never ever do even if I got paid….but I did it for him. He’s so quirky- and funny and totally girl crazy. I know I don’t have a chance- but at least I get to see him everyday. Maybe if I was a girl I’d have a chance, but I’m not. If I told him how I felt- it’d totally ruin everything…and I can’t do that. Yeah when he talks about girls- it kinda hurts but it’s cute to see how excited he gets when he talks about the things he loves. He’s genuinely so pretty- I don’t know how he could be insecure. I get butterflies everytime I’m around him- his voice is so cheery…he deserves everything.
