Nissan Silvia S13 S14 240sx transmission fluid change Redline MT90 Gear Oil

Draining and refilling the gear oil on my Nissan Silvia S14 5 speed manual transmission CB71C. Going with Redline MT90 synthetic gear oil. Redline MT90 is GL-4 full synthetic synchromesh gearbox oil which is 75w90 oil weight. The Nissan Silvia S14 factory service manual call for this type of gear oil and it is exactly what I needed to get this job done right. This gear oil will work in a Nissan Silvia S13 and Nissan 240sx 5 speed transmission. How to easily change your transmission fluid at home yourself and save some money!

Really helpful video. I use redline oil in my 180sx transmission too. A real pain to fill when under the car. Also that cut wire is just a cat temperature sensor. It's meant to warn you if the cat is blocked. Everyone cuts it for the de-cat/test pipe and it doesn't cause any check engine lights generally.

I just drained my Redline for Lucas oil and it actually doesnt hate to shift into 1st gear anymore

Did you have any issues before hand? I just got a spec r s15 and 3rd can get a tad crunchy and I refuse to believe it’s the synchros. Atleast so soon in trying to diagnose
