The XR is a beautiful phone but lately it freezes & overheats so much, so if you like the XR getting the iPhone 14 isn’t so bad.

I am using my XR since 4 years now and haven't really felt the need to upgrade.
It is very fast and absolutely no hang or heating issues. Except when I use for Google maps for 45 mins or more...It heats...but I don't use that quite often....XR rocks even in 2023

I loved my XR. Had it for 4 years. I only upgraded to the 14 because I had irreparable liquid damage. Still don’t get what the big deal is about the new phone, they both do the same thing. 14 is just 2 seconds faster

I’ve had my XR for over 3 years now, it doesn’t hold a charge for more than half a day and the charging port is busted. Great phone but I ordered a 14 the other day. Pretty excited

The XR may be a second or two slower at loading the apps but it still runs iOS 16 exceptionally well. I’m still rocking a XR I got in 2018 and don’t plan on upgrading until it can’t update to the latest iOS. Also for someone just looking for a good phone for under 300 dollars, I recommend buying a 128gb version of the XR. Worse case, If you don’t like it then you can sell it for what you paid for it.

My wife has the XR and wants a new phone. She's been having some issues with the XR: freezing, spontaneous rebooting, apps even camera not working, amongst others.
I'm going to update her to the 14 pro. There doesn't seem to be that great of a difference between the XR and 14. The pro is brighter, better camera, faster/newer CPU... More of an upgrade.

If you want to upgrade from Xr, go for iphone 14 pro, otherwise it’s not the worth. Xr is the beast trust me. It still processes things at very good speed. Rest IOS 16 completely supports Xr. You won’t feel anywhere obselete or non updated. I bought Xr in 2020, and can tell it’s one of best phones I have ever had. Personally I Will look for iPhone 15 pro in 2023.

I have a 12 Pro Max and a 14 Pro Max on order. I want to sell the 12, so as I'm waiting, I have started using an Xr. Honestly, I don't see a big difference between the Xr and 12 Pro Max for basic usage. Apple really keeps selling us phones that have small upgrades and we keep buying, lol

I just got a new iPhone 14. I upgraded from the XR. I loved my XR but the battery was wearing down. I’ve had it for years but it was time for a new phone.

iPhone XR is still worth it in 2022, because it's going to last till 2024. So it's a reasonable upgrade, but maybe you should keep it a bit longer till it haves issues.

My XR started freezing between apps, and the screen went all dark when I tried to take a picture. Had that phone forever but figured it was finally time to upgrade it - so I got the 14 today! And was able to trade in my XR to help with the cost. I just didn't want to get to a point where my phone completely stopped working, that's usually what I do and it is not great haha.

Xr looks better the notch isn't deep in the screen like the 14 is but the iPhone 14's build looks better

My XR in only 64 GB I’ve had it 4 years now, new battery is 90.00, runs perfectly still, I upgraded to a 14 for more storage and the wide angle lens, that’s literally the only difference in upgrading to a 14

Oh, so the 4 years older phone is slightly slower? Shocker!
