Novation Ultranova / mininova battery powered mobile Synth

Here I Find a way to let the Ultranova become a truly portable synth station.

For a while now I've been using a self-contained keytar made from a Nord Micromodular taped to an old Rock Band games controller keyboard. I just used a load of AAs in an 8-AA battery housing I bought from Maplin here in the UK (is Radio Shack still going in the US?) - works great (We Control The Infrastructure - Fakebit Polytechnic live @ Beats & Eats, Nov 2013) so another way to go might be some AA batteries, a cheap battery housing unit, and replace the wall wart power input instead.

Nice! Many thanks. I've wondered for a long time if it's possible to do this—i.e., to safely power a USB powered device designed to get its juice from a computer from a USB battery instead. Now I know it can be done. Question: Is the battery you use of the same type as the ones marketed for recharging devices on the fly that have a battery of their own and are usually recharged by plugging into an outlet? Or is it a different kind of battery?

I thought about this but how can a divice that's supposed to use 12 volts run off of just 5 volts? I have battery packs and a speaker almost identical.

Would there be any possible way to make this work on a Bluetooth transmitter to a Bluetooth speaker to make it completely wireless? Or would there be some latency?

hey, how many volts the battery sends? it needs to be 9 exactly?
