The games, especially the last 2 games were so close. There's no time for Kerr to play around. Gone are those times, unless you are playing in South East Asia, that you play all your players and you just dominate. You just gonna have to be professional. The coach will use players that he thinks matches better vs the opponent. Or players that are consistent and brings more to the line up. When they lose nobody blames the players. The coach takes all the blame.

JT plays a stacked position. Whi is he going to come in for when you have a defensive scheme? Lbj? Kd? Bam?AD? Embid?

When everyone on the team is a superstar, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being on the bench. The coaching staff has their rotations & scouts have helped them figure out their gameplan. Many people can talk about any of those players, but no one can take away the fact that they’re on the Olympic team, which is one of the highest honors an athlete can have & after winning the NBA finals, JT is already a champion. To win these big games however, you need your different units & that strong defensive 2nd unit has been crucial to winning in big games so far. It would be wrong to assume that the coaching staff wouldn’t utilize him in his best position or that they won’t give him minutes. Also for as much time any player plays, you have to allocate minutes to all your players. So even if they sit out some games, they’ll eventually get more minutes in another game.
