The saint slaying the dragon is always St. George. Byzantine iconography has very specific rules, it's all symbolysms, including the choice of colour. Great videos, enjoy your time there!

in the 8th century BC, people from Telos, together with other Dorian settlers from the nearby islands, came to Sicily and founded the town of Gela. 100 years later the citystate of Gela with new settlers from the Dodecanese Islands and Crete will found Akragas, today Agrigento.
