Half of my cables end with USB-A so a motherboard like this ain't happening for me.

One of the best things about USB (-A) was that all my old devices worked with it, even when they released new versions. USB-C being a completely different form factor is just a pain in the ass.

I wonder if someone will come to make connecting motherboards to cases better

I asked them and yes, adapters are included. It will also include a hub that should provide a few type a ports.

Honestly find myself lacking USB c ports at this point because most of my cables are c-c just because it consolidated the types of cables I needed.

Currently I'd love to see 50/50 of type-A and C ports!!
Also I love toslink for Audiosetups and they need to bring back Double Digit Errorcode Modules on the MB itself

4 of each is the way forward on the back. 2 of each on the front, no questions asked

When some of the most expensive gear still use USB A, then there's no point of this tbh. Yes things get phased out, but I don't see it happening in the next 10 years or even longer

Most motherboards still have ps2 ports for a reason

Usb A is still going to be used for the next decade or 2

Issue is when you have things like sim setups or other peripherals that arent usb-c. I think they should other maybe two different versions; one with a traditional IO setup containing usb-a and one with usb-c.

Go into a computer store right now and tell me how many keyboards have a USB-C cable. This is ridiculous.

Tbh, people won’t move to usb c because everyone offers usb a still. Drop usb an and everyone will get a small hub for random usb a devices and then upgrade their cables to usb c and no the future.

the amount of type a to type c adapters i'd need would bankrupt me

At least provide 2 USB A for keyboard and mouse, just like USB A era where manufacturers still provided PS/2 back then

All those USB Cs and not a single USB A? Maybe there's some commercial need for a board like this that I'm not aware of. I can't imagine many consumers would consider this optimal though.

Most items these days are still usb A lol unless you wanna use an adapter for everything and those usually dont last too long

I think usb type c sucks. There’s no standard for what the cables can do and no easy way to tell whether it’s a data cable, power cable, or both. Also the tongue on the Ports seems more prone to damage. Having a universal cable standard is a great idea but not like this

My keyboard, mouse, headphones, phone charger all USB-A so, no. Not until my current setup breaks and products actually mainstream USB-C

I only have two peripherals that use type c. My keyboard and phone charger. While everything else is type A

Can output 8K 60Hz
Can deliver over 240W
Can deliver over 40GB/s
Can be put in any direction (up/down or straight the other port)

I mean yeah. USB-C should be really more present. But having at least 2 USB 3.2 gen2 USB-A could be cool.
