Idk if this is a pro tip or not but if you want to get halal candies and gummies, I would get vegan candy instead. Especially if you are traveling and craving sweets but aren’t sure if it’s halal or not. Also vegan food in general is technically halal as well and there are so many amazing substitutes.I would just avoid foods with vanilla extract. Always helps to ask for specific ingredients that you know/aren’t sure about. Oh and a side tip, if you go to restaurants, some of them have an allergy menu and it is possible to find halal items on there such as the Cheesecake Factory. Their allergy menu is delicious and they tell you everything included in the meal often times.
