Masterchef who the hell did you invite and why he claims to cook food and say that is Indian without turmeric in it. He is not making NorthEastern or boiled food, he is making legit masala mutton curry, -- it can be without curry leaves but Turmeric is a must. Even the cheapest and worst Indian restaurant would throw that chef out if he cooks Indian food like that. Let him just cook what other things he knows. Don't insult Indian food by not putting Turmeric in it

guys i found few Indian curry which do not have turmeric, like there are curry like kormas( also made of different meat, and according to google in this dish stock is used), rogan josh (mutton curry) in Kashmir and lagan ka boti(mutton) one i found in Lucknow that, those are mostly non veg one like meat, chicken, beef (yes it made here) towards Kashmir side, , and kind of towards northern part i know. others i don't .
like basically want to point out the chefs curry really matter from which part of India he learned from, if he learn from an area where turmeric is not that much used, it make sense

but saying that "all" Indian curry must have turmeric is kind of wrong, if we consider how diverse our country is.

like see Jain curry does not have onion and garlic and that is also Indian curry only !
