The Kia Niro EV ( Also called the Kia E-Niro in some country), is a torquey vehicle! Some say it's fast, but you need tires that will bites because the electric motor in the Niro EV provides instant torque of 291 lb.-ft for off-the-line acceleration giving you immediate responsiveness the moment you press the pedal. If you turn off the traction system of in the Kia Niro, get ready for a smoke show!

Test note: Do not remove the TCS Of the Kia Niro EV unless you want a smoke show! It's also limited to 107 mph! You can see the power bar going down at 106 mph!

Interesting. It is substantially slower than the Bolt across the entire operating range, aside from when the Bolt hits its 93mph speed limit. They have nearly the same power output, but the Niro must be geared a little different since it can get another 14mph.

Im glad that Kia changed their traction control system from what they used on the previous gen Soul EV. It would completely cut all power at the slightest wheel slippage which is annoying at best, dangerous at worst.

You’re running these tests with the battery at 60%. This makes them worthless unless “acceleration at 60% charge” is specifically what you’re testing for. EVs need to be close to 100% charge and the batteries at proper temperature before attempting a test like this. This data is faulty unless properly labeled.

You can set custom dragy mode of 80-120kmh, and time it too. More quicker cars please!

You are 0.7 s slower than the official 0-100 km/h in 7, 8 s. How come? I have seen a video where the e Niro is much faster than 7, 8 s.

Honestly iv owned one for 3 weeks bow the eco seems faster ti me for some reason lol but iv definitely hit faster thAn that in 0-60
