Here are 5 of the things I've learned while working at a large fiber-based ISP that I only really learned while working the job. They are the most important things I've learned and I hope that maybe they can help someone else put the edge on their game as an ISP help desk technician, or a help desk technician in general.

Timecodes
0:00 - Intro
0:41 - It doesn't feel like IT most of the time
1:51 - Come up with a routine for filling dead air
3:20 - Beware of who you build rapport with
5:10 - Biggest challenge: Convincing the customer it's their equipment, not ours
8:21 - Dig in your heels and press forward -- avoid unnecessary technician dispatches
