Joe Biden ‘triggers powerful surge’ in global oil prices

United States President Joe Biden has “trigged a powerful surge” in global oil prices, says Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd.

This comes after President Biden suggested Iran’s oilfields “could be targeted by the Israeli military” in retaliation for Iran striking Israel earlier this week, Mr Boyd said.

“Traders are concerned a wider conflict could cripple global oil supply, pushing prices up even more,” he said.
