Hi Donna great quilt as usual. I like the idea of making this but adding an extra row of trees and some numbered pockets on the trees, and turning it into a giant advent calendar.

I have never done Appliqué on a regular sewing machine before but you make it look so easy. Gorgeous quilt, Donna! I LOVE the quilt you’re giving away too. Fall. Is my favorite time of the year. You could use the blue fabrics left over from the layer cake for the sashing, if you wanted to avoid a red & green Christmas palette. The blue fabrics would represent the sky. Blue yardage would also work if you wanted to avoid having to piece small strips from the layer cake squares.

Watched this awhile ago and put this on my I need to make this but saw someone who did it in blue trees and now I really want to make this now even though I have almost all my Christmas stuff packed away. But I think I will stick with the greens. Great video and pattern.
