Uneven surfaces can also cause an object to tilt, shifting its center of gravity beyond the base. Additionally, external forces like a push or pull can contribute to this imbalance. When the moment generated by the object's weight becomes larger than any stabilizing forces, the object will rotate and fall over.

Think there's a better explanation. Counter solid, rubber squishy. The handle side being heavier will compress the rubber more than the non-handle side. This means it will be slightly sloped when sat on squishier surfaces [even when the surface was level] as the side will always compress more. At that point then the uneven surface takes over, but the key I think here was that the surface was compressible so it allows the weight to get away from bottom.

Air seal vaacume under the pot, it will fall on the counter too but it will take a few seconds
